What is happening at my GP surgery?
Your GP practice, Upminster Medical Centre will be closing on 29 August 2025.
East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) will no longer hold the contract for surgery
services from 30 September 2025. A temporary provider is being arranged to ensure continuity
of care at Rainham Medical Centre.
Following several concerns being reported with the premises at Upminster Medical Centre,
ELFT commissioned a detailed survey of the surgery building. This has highlighted that it
would be unsafe to continue to provide services at the premises.
For the safety of both patients and staff, we are moving services out of this building and will
be consolidating the practice at the Rainham Health Centre site.
